Established on March 22, 2002, Munway Technology Inc, emerged as a Florida S-Corporation under the visionary leadership of Miguel Mundarain. The impetus for founding the company stemmed from the heightened demand for security systems following the tragic events of September 11th, particularly in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks. Notably, this period coincided with the nascent stages of development in the CCTV and video surveillance market.
In the initial stages of operation in 2003, Munway Technology focused on the installation of CCTV systems for condominium associations and residential homes. Subsequently, from 2004 to 2007, the company experienced substantial growth, deploying over 10,000 cameras across more than 80 schools. This marked the beginning of strategic collaborations, as Munway Technology successfully secured contracts with prominent entities such as Miami International Airport, Florida International University, Miami Dade College, and various other commercial and institutional customers.
The year 2017 marked a significant milestone for Munway Technology, as the company attained certification as an SBA 8(a) minority business on August 8th. This certification exemplifies our commitment to excellence and positions us as a trusted partner in the industry.
Continuing our trajectory of success, Munway Technology has consistently expanded its business footprint. Our notable achievements include securing government contracts and playing a pivotal role in implementing access control and security systems at the Miami Dade County Public Schools, as well as collaborating with other government agencies.
